American Eagle sails the seven-night Cape Codder round-Boston itinerary and seven-night Maine Coast and Harbors round-trip Portland itinerary in summers. The largest accommodations are located forward on Deck 4 - Sky Suite (425 ft2 / 40 m2) and Grand Suite (550 ft2 / 51 m2), with sizes including their terraces. These staterooms (2x Grand and 4x Sky) are two-room suites with separate living room and bedroom (both with direct terrace access, 2x TVs), dining area, marble bathroom (double-sink vanity). We have just completed our 15th cruise on a brand new ship, the Eagle, and have never been disappointed. This cruise, the Cape Codder, was fromBoston to Boston with stops Through out New England (Gloucester , Mass Maritime Academy, New Bedford, Martha’s Vineyard , Provincetown and Plymouth). It was the Eagle’s inaugural cruise so we were all honored to attend the ceremony and meet the Robertson family, the owners/builders of ACL. Continuing the new series of vessels, the American Glory is set to enter service in November 2023. Two additional ships, the American Legend and the American Liberty, are also under construction, with debuts scheduled for 2024.
Staterooms
Chesapeake Shipbuilding delivered the boat to ACL on August 1, 2023, after successfully completing sea trials. Top-deck (deck 5) is a crew-only area with a SkyLight (glass-roof cover over the Atrium) and a Helideck.

Cabins start at 230 square feet, and these are situated on the lower deck and have fixed windows. The Coastal Cat’s design offers the stability of river cruise ships with the adventure spirit of expedition vessels.
